Abstract

Music has become an integral part of the learning process, especially as a tool to improve students' concentration and understanding. Lo-Fi (Low Fidelity) music is known for its slow rhythm, soothing background noise, and minimal distractions, which makes it a popular choice among students while studying. This study aims to explore the impact of listening to Lo-Fi music on improving students' concentration and understanding in absorbing subject matter. The method used in this study is a literature study with a qualitative approach, which examines various previous studies related to the influence of Lo-Fi music in the academic world. Data were collected from scientific journals, conference articles, and academic books that discussed the relationship between music, concentration, and material comprehension. The analysis was carried out through the content analysis method to identify patterns and trends in the use of Lo-Fi music as a learning aid. The results of the study show that Lo-Fi music can improve students' focus and absorption of information by creating a more conducive and distraction-free learning atmosphere. In addition, this music has also been shown to help reduce stress and anxiety levels, thereby increasing learning effectiveness. However, the impact can vary depending on the type of academic assignment and the student's individual preferences. Therefore, more research is needed to better understand how Lo-Fi music can be optimized in various learning conditions.
